Alexander Bublik, the 15th seed ranked No. 16, opens his US Open campaign on hard courts against wild-card J.J. Wolf, ranked around No. 248. Bublik enters with a 26-17 record in 2026, including a Hong Kong title and strong hard-court results (9-4), plus a Wimbledon fourth round. Wolf, returning from a year-long shoulder injury that dropped him outside the top 900, has climbed rapidly through Challengers with a Vancouver title and secured his main-draw spot via the wild-card challenge. Their head-to-head favors Wolf 3-1, though Bublik won their most recent match on grass in 2023. Bublik’s serve volume and recent consistency shape trader consensus around the higher-ranked player advancing.
