Mattia Bellucci enters this US Open first-round match on outdoor hard courts ranked around No. 95, slightly ahead of qualifier Zsombor Piros at No. 118, with both players holding comparable recent hard-court results. Bellucci brings Grand Slam experience and consistent ATP-level play, though his 2026 form shows a 5-5 record in his last 10 matches. Piros arrives with strong qualifying momentum after three victories to reach the main draw, including a win over Christopher O’Connell, but he has just one prior US Open main-draw appearance and limited ATP wins overall.
