Aaron Jones has rushed for 410 yards on 97 carries (4.2 yards per attempt) through five games for the 5-0 Vikings, benefiting from a bell-cow role while Jordan Mason has been sidelined with a thumb injury on IR. Mason is eligible to return after the Week 6 bye and is expected to reclaim a significant share of early-down and between-the-tackles work, likely cutting Jones' touches for the remaining 12 games. At age 31 with prior injury concerns, including a knee issue that briefly sidelined him in Week 5, Jones' season-long volume and efficiency will hinge on how the Vikings manage the split backfield and game scripts.
