New head coach Will Hall’s squad has posted just 20.3 points per game while dealing with multiple offensive line injuries, including right tackle Ryan Mickow, and running back concerns with Jamauri McClure out and Maurice Turner limited. Charlotte, at 1-6 and also 1-2 in the AAC, snapped a long losing streak with a 38-31 road win at Temple before its bye, where quarterback Conner Harrell threw for 281 yards and added two rushing scores. The 49ers return home rested at Jerry Richardson Stadium on a short week for Tulane, though both defenses rank near the bottom nationally and the matchup features depleted rosters on each side.
