This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NBA for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to be named as the champion of NBA for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NBA (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NBA: however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
The San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder sit as near co-favorites for the 2027 NBA title because both Western Conference powers enter the 2026-27 season with elite young cores, projected 60-win paces, and recent deep playoff runs that include a seven-game Western Conference Finals clash. Victor Wembanyama anchors San Antonio after its Finals appearance, bolstered by offseason addition Tobias Harris and continued growth from players like Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper. Oklahoma City, coming off a 2025 championship and strong regular-season metrics despite some depth trades to manage apron rules, retains Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, and Chet Holmgren while expecting health improvements. The narrow gap at the top reflects the competitive balance between these two teams alongside credible Eastern Conference challengers like the defending champion New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers.
