The closely bunched probabilities around 45-50% reflect mid-season parity among several NFL defenses through Week 8 of the 2026 campaign. The Minnesota Vikings D/ST lead in points allowed per game while posting strong sack and takeaway totals, the Pittsburgh Steelers D/ST top fantasy scoring in multiple formats via elite pressure rates, and the Las Vegas Raiders D/ST rank high in forced turnovers. The Los Angeles Chargers, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, and Washington Commanders remain competitive on the back of recent form, favorable remaining schedules, and comparable per-game production in sacks, interceptions, and defensive touchdowns. This balance of statistical outputs and situational factors has prevented any unit from separating in the season-long fantasy points race.
This market will resolve to the team defense/special teams (D/ST) unit that finishes the 2026-27 NFL regular season (Weeks 1 through 18) as the highest-scoring D/ST under the default scoring of ESPN Fantasy Sports. If two or more D/STs are tied for the most total fantasy points, this market will resolve in favor of the tied D/ST that has a higher fantasy points per game average for the 2026 NFL regular season. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the tied D/ST whose team name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed past January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a leader cannot be determined within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official season-total statistics as reported by ESPN Fantasy Sports (https://www.espn.com/fantasy/).
