Municipal elections are currently scheduled to be held in Czechia on October 9-10, 2026. The next mayor of Brno will be elected by the newly constituted council following the 2026 Czech municipal elections. This market will resolve to the first individual who officially assumes the role of Mayor of Brno following the 2026 Czech municipal elections. A qualifying individual must be elected mayor by the city council. Temporary, interim, or placeholder mayors appointed before the election will not be considered. If the result of this election isn't known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the government of Czechia and Brno.

The October 9-10, 2026 Czech municipal elections will determine Brno's next mayor through a city council vote, with trader odds reflecting a fragmented contest among coalition leaders. Kamila Zlatušková heads the ODS-TOP 09 list as a fresh independent candidate after the prior mayor stepped aside for health reasons, while Jakub Hruška leads the KDU-ČSL-STAN alliance drawing on his record as a district mayor. Václav Trojan represents ANO, and smaller coalitions including Greens-linked and other groupings add further dispersion. The balanced pricing stems from limited recent polling differentiation, comparable local organizational strength across major lists, and uncertainty over post-election negotiations among the 55 council seats. Developments that could shift probabilities include final-week campaign momentum on issues such as housing and transport, clearer voter turnout signals in battleground districts, or early indications of viable governing coalitions.
