Benjamin Hassan enters the Istanbul Challenger qualifier as the clear favorite against lower-ranked Samir Hamza Reguig, reflecting traders' consensus on the 31-year-old Lebanese player's superior ranking, experience, and recent hard-court results. Hassan, currently around No. 419 with a career-high of 143, defeated Marsel Ilhan in straight sets to reach this round and holds stronger second-serve and overall hard-court metrics compared to the 24-year-old Algerian at No. 682. Reguig advanced via a three-set win over Maxim Zhukov but shows inconsistent recent form across surfaces. With no prior head-to-head and both players competing on outdoor hard courts in a qualification setting, Hassan's edge stems from greater consistency and higher-level exposure, though Reguig's youth and return stats introduce limited upset potential in the draw.
