Tsitsipas enters the US Open second-round matchup on hard courts with renewed momentum after defeating 10th seed Arthur Fils in four sets, producing 50 winners while overcoming an early deficit in his first-round win. The former world No. 3, now ranked No. 53 and unseeded, has shown improved consistency under new coaching and seeks a deep run. Harris, ranked No. 139, arrives via qualifying and has won four consecutive matches, including a straight-sets victory over Jack Kennedy, posting a strong 30-11 record in 2026 primarily against lower-ranked opponents. Their first tour-level meeting pits Harris’s recent form and return effectiveness against Tsitsipas’s superior experience, serve, and break-point conversion in Grand Slam settings. Trader consensus reflects Tsitsipas as the clear favorite based on these factors.
