Miami quarterback Darian Mensah’s rise to near the top of the 2026 Heisman market stems from an undefeated 8-0 record and elite efficiency, completing roughly 81 percent of passes for 2,425 yards and 25 touchdowns against one interception through Week 9. Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith remains the market leader at 38 percent implied probability despite the Buckeyes’ 30-18 loss at USC and the shoulder injury to quarterback Julian Sayin, as his consistent production keeps him ahead of the field. Notre Dame’s CJ Carr sits at 15 percent after strong statistical output, while Trinidad Chambliss and others trail further back. The Miami-Notre Dame matchup on November 7 and Ohio State’s remaining schedule will likely drive further shifts in trader consensus among these closely contested frontrunners.
This market will resolve according to the winner of the 2026 Heisman Trophy, awarded to the most outstanding player in college football, with the winner announced at the Heisman ceremony currently scheduled for December 12, 2026. If the ceremony is postponed after December 26, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, canceled, or a winner has not been announced within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other." If multiple players are declared co-winners, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the Heisman Trophy Trust (https://www.heisman.com); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
