Morgan Wallen’s dominant 2026 run on Billboard charts, capped by his fourth Country Airplay No. 1 of the year with “Been By Now” in late October, drives the 72.4% market-implied odds for Billboard #1 Artist. The country star’s sustained streaming, radio airplay, and album longevity—extending his record weeks atop Top Country Albums—create consistent year-long points accumulation that outpaces sporadic Hot 100 surges from competitors. Taylor Swift’s recent “Patient Zero” reign and earlier album weeks, Kendrick Lamar’s hip-hop impact, and Post Malone’s crossovers deliver strong but shorter bursts, leaving them in single digits. Traders’ real-capital consensus reflects Wallen’s genre-crossing consistency and historical precedent for year-end artist tallies, with minimal time left for late shifts.
This market will resolve according to the number 1 artist on the Billboard 2026 Year-End Top Artists chart. If Billboard does not publish a 2026 Year-End Top Artists chart by March 31, 2027, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be the Billboard Year-End 2026 Top Artists Chart, once it becomes available.
