Carlos Alcaraz enters the Rolex Paris Masters semifinal as the clear favorite against Casper Ruud on indoor hard courts, backed by a 6-1 head-to-head edge that includes straight-set wins in their most recent meetings at Indian Wells and the 2024 ATP Finals. The No. 2 seed has compiled a 40-5 record in 2026 and remained unbeaten indoors, though he needed to save two match points before rallying past Taylor Fritz 6-7(10), 7-5, 6-3 in the quarterfinals. Ruud, ranked No. 23, reached his first semifinal since May without dropping a set, defeating Nuno Borges in the quarters after earlier wins over Jan-Lennard Struff and Rafael Jodar, but he has managed a lingering knee issue and holds just a 7-23 career mark against top-five opponents. Alcaraz’s superior serve, return metrics, and clutch performance have shaped trader consensus around his strong implied probability.
