The Philadelphia 76ers hold the highest implied probability for the Eastern Conference's top seed after opening 8-1, fueled by offseason additions of LeBron James and Jaylen Brown alongside core pieces Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe under Nick Nurse. Their early dominance, including a five-game win streak and strong conference record, has elevated trader consensus on sustained regular-season performance. The Detroit Pistons sit second in market pricing on the strength of their prior 60-win campaign and continued defensive identity led by Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren, though they trail at 6-2. Boston Celtics (6-2) and New York Knicks (4-4) follow amid roster adjustments and mixed early results, with the broader East remaining tightly contested given injury recoveries, schedule difficulty, and the typical variance of an 82-game slate.
