In the upcoming MLB game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and San Diego Padres, scheduled for August 24 at 9:40PM ET: This market will resolve to "Pittsburgh Pirates" if the Pittsburgh Pirates win the game. This market will resolve to "San Diego Padres" if the San Diego Padres win the game. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

The San Diego Padres enter this three-game series at Petco Park with a 71-60 record, strong 40-26 home mark, and recent 7-3 stretch that has them contending for an NL wild card spot, while the 63-69 Pirates sit fourth in the NL Central and 8.5 games out of playoff position. Robbie Ray’s 3.20 ERA and the Padres’ bullpen depth face off against Braxton Ashcraft’s solid 13-5 mark, but San Diego’s offense and situational advantages at home shape trader consensus. Multiple Padres arms remain sidelined, including Casey Mize (ankle) and several 60-day IL pitchers, yet Pittsburgh’s absences—Endy Rodríguez (hip), Ryan O’Hearn (quad), and Konnor Griffin (finger)—further limit their lineup depth after a sweep in Los Angeles. Recent form and playoff stakes for the Padres versus the Pirates’ road struggles and injury list define the matchup dynamics.
