Jacob Misiorowski’s dominant 2026 regular season for the Milwaukee Brewers—16-5 record, MLB-leading 1.80 ERA, 252 strikeouts, 0.80 WHIP, and .157 opponent batting average over 174⅔ innings—has driven overwhelming trader consensus around his NL Cy Young win. The 24-year-old right-hander also set velocity benchmarks with over 1,100 pitches at 100 mph or harder and posted a 2-0, 1.89 ERA mark in the postseason, including the World Series-clinching start. These results, combined with his sophomore-year leap and Brewers’ first title, have left finalists like Cristopher Sánchez, Chris Sale, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto far behind in implied probability. A realistic shift would require voters to heavily weight innings pitched or win totals over rate stats and strikeout dominance, though historical precedent favors Misiorowski’s profile.
This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 National League Cy Young Award. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
