Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Colima on June 6, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Colima gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Colima and Mexico, including the Electoral Institute of Colima and the National Electoral Institute of Mexico.
Rosa María Bayardo Cabrera holds the leading position in the Colima governor race due to her strong showing in recent Morena internal polls and citizen surveys, where she has posted double-digit leads over other aspirants within the party. Morena’s structural edge in the state underpins trader pricing ahead of the June 2027 election, as the party has dominated recent cycles and maintains high name recognition through its federal and state apparatus. Opposition figures such as Riult Rivera Gutiérrez and Griselda Martínez Martínez trail notably, reflecting a fragmented field that has yet to consolidate cross-party support. The many near-50% outcomes on lesser-known candidates capture the extended timeline, unresolved primaries, and potential for shifts in alliances or turnout patterns before the general ballot. Late developments in Morena’s candidate selection or opposition coordination could still alter positioning.
