This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Delaware. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Delaware, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

In Delaware’s 2026 U.S. Senate race, incumbent Democrat Chris Coons faces minimal general-election opposition in a state last won by Republicans in 1994, producing muted campaign intensity ahead of the September 15 primaries and November 3 general election. With the contest rated safe Democratic across forecasting outlets and no major national or local catalysts emerging in recent weeks, trader probabilities cluster tightly around 350,000–425,000 total votes cast. Historical midterm turnout patterns in the state, combined with Democratic registration advantages and expanding early and mail voting options, support moderate participation expectations. Limited Republican primary activity between Michael Katz and John Shulli further dampens mobilization signals. Developments that could widen the range include stronger-than-expected primary turnout, late advertising surges, or shifts in early-voting volume that alter baseline participation rates.
