Duke leads the 2027 national title market at 21.5% implied probability due to Jon Scheyer’s roster depth, returning contributors like Caleb Foster and Patrick Ngongba, and high-impact transfers such as John Blackwell, giving the Blue Devils elite versatility across positions. Florida sits at 14.5% behind its preseason AP No. 1 ranking, experienced core, and dominant frontcourt featuring Alex Condon, Thomas Haugh, and Rueben Chinyelu. Illinois (10.5%) and UConn (7.0%) follow with Final Four pedigrees and strong veteran groups, while the broad field of contenders—including Louisville, Gonzaga, and Kansas—reflects widespread talent influx via the transfer portal and recruiting. This early-season parity, combined with schedule strength and injury risks, sustains tight clustering among top programs.

Regler

This market will resolve according to the team that wins the 2027 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament (the national champion). If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2027 tournament (e.g., they are eliminated or fail to qualify), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If the 2027 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament is cancelled, postponed after April 19, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no champion declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from the NCAA (https://www.ncaa.com); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
