This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Toronto Pearson Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 3 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=cyyz If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Official forecasts from Environment and Climate Change Canada, updated September 2, call for a high of 27°C in Toronto on September 3 under a mix of sun and cloud with a 30% chance of showers late in the afternoon and a humidex of 34. This places the expected daily maximum slightly above the 1991–2020 climatological average of 24.2°C for the date, reflecting a lingering warm air mass with southerly flow earlier in the period giving way to lighter westerly to northwesterly winds. Multiple numerical weather models and private forecasts converge on afternoon readings in the mid- to upper-20s Celsius (roughly 75–78°F), with limited diurnal heating due to increasing cloud cover and only modest precipitation risk that is unlikely to cap temperatures sharply. Historical records show highs on September 3 have ranged from the mid-teens to 34.4°C, but current steering patterns and surface observations favor a moderate outcome without the strong ridging or clear skies needed for 30°C+ readings. Trader consensus reflected in the market (28°C at 36%, 27°C at 24.5%, 29°C at 23%) aligns with this narrow forecast envelope, where small shifts in cloud timing, wind direction, or model bias could easily move the realized high by 1–2°C. No major forecast revisions have occurred in the past 24 hours, and resolution will hinge on the official observed maximum reported for the day.
