Ryo Minakata, the more experienced 26-year-old Japanese player, enters the M15 Wuning qualifying match against 18-year-old Lin Hao-Yu with stronger recent hard-court results at the venue, including straight-set qualifier victories in late August and early September. Minakata holds a solid record on outdoor hard courts this season, while Lin, a rising Taiwanese prospect, shows competitive form in lower-tier events but has faced tougher opposition in recent M25 and M15 qualifiers. The hard surface favors consistent baseline play and serve reliability, where Minakata’s additional match experience and head-to-head edge in similar ITF settings could prove decisive. No prior meetings exist between the two, leaving recent momentum and physical conditioning as key variables in this early-round contest.
