The American, a former tournament finalist and home favorite ranked No. 10, has compiled an 18-9 hard-court record in 2026 while showcasing elite serving and efficiency. Cerundolo, ranked No. 25, arrives after a grueling five-set win over Jan-Lennard Struff that featured 19 aces but also 13 double faults, and he holds a 10-7 hard-court mark this season. Their head-to-head stands at 1-1, both prior encounters on clay, making this their first hard-court meeting. Fritz’s superior recent form, rest advantage, and Arthur Ashe Stadium support shape the current market positioning.
