Anastasia Zakharova and Lucrezia Stefanini meet in the Chennai Open quarterfinal on outdoor hard courts, a WTA 250 event where both players have advanced convincingly without dropping a set. Zakharova, ranked 107 and seeded seventh, posted straight-set wins over Polina Iatcenko and local wild card Vaishnavi Adkar, showcasing strong serving and return pressure. Stefanini, ranked 117 and seeded tenth, followed a similar path with victories over Rada Zolotareva and Simona Waltert. Stefanini holds a 3-0 head-to-head edge on hard courts, including a straight-sets win in Cincinnati qualifying earlier this year, though the players sit close in the rankings and have posted comparable 2026 results outside the top 100. Trader consensus reflects a tightly contested matchup shaped by these recent hard-court performances and the established rivalry.
