Linda Noskova enters the WTA Finals hard-court clash as the stronger favorite due to her Wimbledon title this season, superior recent form, and 2-1 head-to-head edge, including straight-sets wins over Kostyuk at Wimbledon and a three-set victory at the US Open. The Czech, ranked around No. 8, boasts a stronger serve and consistent results on hard courts, though she exited the China Open in the round of 16. Kostyuk, ranked near No. 10 and making her Finals debut as a late alternate for the withdrawn Elena Rybakina, has dropped her last four matches and carries limited recent match play. Their prior Madrid meeting on clay went to Kostyuk, but the matchup on outdoor hard favors Noskova’s power and experience in high-stakes events.
