Several high-volume running backs remain tightly bunched in the 2026 FBS rushing yards race through early November, with Dylan Riley, Jahiem White, Jamal Roberts, Nate Sheppard, and DeSean Bishop all exceeding 950 yards. Sheppard’s recent 217-yard, three-touchdown outing at NC State and dual-threat production have boosted his standing, while Bishop’s consistent SEC workload and milestone 1,000-yard season have kept Tennessee’s ground attack relevant. Remaining schedules, conference matchups, and injury resilience will determine final totals among this group of lead backs carrying heavy carries per game. Trader consensus reflects this parity, with no single player pulling away decisively.
