Carolina Hurricanes and Minnesota Wild lead early 2026-27 standings with strong point totals and positive goal differentials after roughly 16 games, while Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights sit near the top in the West on the strength of recent form and depth. Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins anchor the East with solid records, boosted by Nick Suzuki’s return from injury and consistent regulation wins. Key absences such as Miro Heiskanen for Dallas and ongoing goaltending questions elsewhere are shaping early playoff projections, alongside roster adjustments from waivers and call-ups. Upcoming Global Series contests and injury recoveries like Brock Faber’s return for Minnesota will influence momentum heading into the holiday schedule stretch.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team makes the 2026-27 NHL Playoffs. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." A team will be considered to have made the Playoffs if it qualifies for the postseason bracket under the official rules of the NHL for the 2026-27 season. Qualification through any officially recognized NHL format (including Wild Card berths) will count. If it becomes impossible for the listed team to qualify for the Playoffs based on the rules of the NHL (e.g. the team is mathematically eliminated), this market will resolve immediately to "No." The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NHL, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
