Stefan Kozlov enters the Charlottesville Challenger final with strong recent momentum on indoor hard courts, defeating higher-ranked Clément Chidekh in the semifinal after straight-set wins over Braden Shick and Murphy Cassone. The 28-year-old American holds a 3-0 head-to-head advantage over Aidan Mayo, including a three-set victory earlier in 2026. Mayo, ranked 285 and competing as a qualifier, has posted dominant results with a high service-hold percentage and multiple aces per match, highlighted by his semifinal retirement win over Andres Andrade and quarterfinal victory over Max Hans Rehberg. Both players have shown solid recent form on the surface, with Kozlov’s experience and return game contrasting Mayo’s aggressive serving and youth.
