Brandon Holmes (6-1) returned to Dana White’s Contender Series seeking redemption after a first-round TKO loss to Cam Rowston in 2025, bringing pressure-forward striking and a 6-2 frame at age 29. Modestino Rodrigues (7-1), a 22-year-old Brazilian prospect from Revira Black Team with seven finishes in eight pro bouts and a background in K-1 kickboxing, entered as the younger, more explosive finisher making his U.S. debut. Pre-fight analysis highlighted Rodrigues’ early power and finishing rate against Holmes’ experience edge and regional rebound, with both middleweights matching at 6’2”–6’3” and similar reach. The bout resolved quickly when Rodrigues landed a damaging leg kick followed by a right hand for a 15-second TKO, underscoring the stylistic mismatch and youth advantage that shaped trader consensus on the outcome.
