Thiago Monteiro holds the edge in the Porto Challenger second-round matchup on clay, with traders pricing him as the clear favorite based on his superior experience and recent straight-sets win over Kimmer Coppejans. The 32-year-old Brazilian, a former top-61 player with multiple Challenger titles including prior success in Portugal, brings proven clay-court reliability and a stronger overall record against higher-level competition. Nineteen-year-old Mika Petkovic, ranked just outside the top 400 after strong ITF and qualifying results, advanced past Tiago Torres in a three-set battle but faces a significant step up in opponent quality. No major injuries or withdrawals have altered the field, leaving Monteiro’s veteran consistency and serve-return balance as the primary drivers of current implied probabilities.
