Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market.
Chuck Gray holds a modest lead in trader pricing for the Wyoming at-large Republican primary due to his visibility as secretary of state and prior candidacy, yet the August 18 contest remains tightly contested among a crowded field that includes Steve Friess, Reid Rasner, Bo Biteman, Jillian Balow, and several others. Recent candidate forums and debates have highlighted differences on issues such as public lands, voter identification, and economic priorities without producing decisive momentum shifts. The open seat—following the incumbent’s Senate bid—combined with Wyoming’s low-turnout primary electorate and vote-splitting dynamics sustains the close implied probabilities. Additional late endorsements, stronger fundraising disclosures, or polling from the final week could consolidate support and separate the top contenders before ballots close.
