Noma Noha Akugue enters the Montreux Nestlé Open first-round match on clay as the clear favorite against 18-year-old Denisa Zoldakova, with her WTA ranking near 137 reflecting consistent appearances in higher-level challenger and WTA events. Akugue, a left-hander with prior ITF titles and recent wins over players like Valentina Steiner, has competed regularly on the surface this season despite some losses to stronger opponents. Zoldakova, ranked 482, arrives with strong recent clay form from ITF W75 Bytom, where she secured multiple straight-set victories before a final loss, but lacks comparable experience against established professionals. This marks their first meeting, and the ranking and level-of-play gap positions Akugue with a substantial edge in the eyes of traders.
