Noskova enters as the clear market favorite at roughly 75% implied probability due to her No. 6 ranking, Wimbledon 2026 title, and stronger results against top-tier opposition (70% win rate in 2026 versus Volynets’ 65%). The Czech has compiled a 31-13 record this season with nine titles, including dominant grass-court wins over players like Muchova, Keys, and Mertens, though her post-Wimbledon hard-court form dipped with a Cincinnati fourth-round loss. Volynets, ranked around 78-91, brings recent momentum from a Philadelphia Challenger title and solid hard-court volume but has struggled in main-draw matches (9-15) against elite competition. Their first meeting on hard courts favors Noskova’s power and consistency, with Volynets needing an upset-level performance to extend the match. No significant injury concerns affect either player heading into the late-August/early-September first-round clash.
