Moyuka Uchijima enters this US Open women's qualifying second-round match as the clear favorite against lower-ranked Lucie Havlickova, with the Japanese player holding a ranking advantage near No. 99 compared to Havlickova's position around No. 225. Both advanced comfortably through their opening qualifiers on the hard courts at Flushing Meadows, but Uchijima's stronger 2026 hard-court record and greater experience at this level shape trader consensus. No prior head-to-head exists between the pair. The outcome hinges on Uchijima maintaining consistency after recent WTA-level appearances, while Havlickova seeks an upset through aggressive baseline play in what remains a tightly contested qualifier for main-draw entry.
