Janice Tjen, the higher-ranked Indonesian at No. 36-37 with a career-high mark earlier in 2026, faces Swiss veteran Viktorija Golubic (No. 52) for the first time in Cincinnati Open second-round action on hard courts. Golubic arrives after a dominant straight-sets win over Alycia Parks in the opener, part of a steady 2026 campaign that included a French Open third-round appearance and Nottingham semifinal. Tjen enters off a Toronto loss to Liudmila Samsonova following her breakthrough top-50 season and multiple WTA-level results. Models view the matchup as tightly contested, with Tjen’s ranking edge and recent trajectory balancing Golubic’s experience and consistent hard-court form.
