Clara Tauson enters the Monterrey Open quarterfinal against Diane Parry on the back of a resilient three-set victory over top seed Ekaterina Alexandrova, showcasing her experience and ability to close out tight matches on hard courts. Parry arrives with stronger recent momentum, having defeated Donna Vekic from a set down and then Oleksandra Oliynykova to reach her first WTA quarterfinal since February, following a strong North American swing that included a Cincinnati fourth-round run. The head-to-head favors Parry 2-0, including a hard-court win in Osaka, though Tauson holds the ranking edge and deeper resume at WTA 500 level. Traders weigh Parry’s improved form and rhythm against Tauson’s serving power and proven resilience in deciding sets.
