Aryna Sabalenka enters the US Open quarterfinal as the top-ranked defending champion on hard courts, fresh off straight-sets wins including a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Taylor Townsend that extended her set-winning streak in New York. Linda Noskova, the Wimbledon champion and sixth seed, reached her first US Open quarterfinal by edging Marta Kostyuk 7-5, 5-7, 6-4 after saving multiple match points. Sabalenka holds a 2-0 head-to-head edge, including a 6-3, 6-4 semifinal win at Indian Wells earlier in 2026. Noskova’s strong baseline power and recent major title provide upset potential on the fast surface, though trader consensus reflects Sabalenka’s superior consistency and home-surface record in high-stakes matches.
