Barbora Krejcikova enters the 2026 US Open first-round matchup as the clear favorite on hard courts, with traders assigning her roughly 74% implied probability based on her Grand Slam pedigree, two-time major titles, and superior career results despite a 23-11 season record. Recent form weighs against her, however, as the 28th-ranked Czech has struggled for consistency after injury layoffs, posting early exits in Toronto and Cincinnati while showing limited match rhythm on hard courts following her July Athens title run. Kamilla Rakhimova, ranked around No. 88, brings steady baseline play and recent hard-court wins over players like Venus Williams, though she has struggled against elite competition. Their sole prior meeting was a straight-sets Krejcikova victory at the 2021 US Open. Surface, experience edge, and potential fitness questions for the higher seed shape current pricing.
