Diane Parry enters the Cincinnati Open first-round clash against Caroline Dolehide holding the clear edge in ranking (No. 64 versus outside the top 250) and recent WTA-level experience on hard courts. Parry’s 2026 singles record stands at 22-17, highlighted by a career-high ranking of 47 and notable wins like her Berlin upset of Tauson, though she has shown mixed hard-court results (roughly 6-8) with recent losses in Toronto and Prague. Dolehide, more active and successful in doubles this season including a Bogota title, carries limited recent singles momentum at the main-tour level and faces a significant step up in competition. The hard-court surface and absence of prior head-to-head history further underscore the matchup’s reliance on current form and physical readiness for both players.
