Sorana Cîrstea enters this US Open second-round hard-court matchup as the higher-ranked and seeded player at No. 17, bringing greater Grand Slam experience and a stronger 2026 win rate than 24-year-old Diane Parry. Cîrstea advanced comfortably in her opener while Parry, who reached a career-high ranking of No. 31 after claiming her first WTA 500 title in Monterrey, also won her first-round match. The pair has no prior head-to-head history, leaving recent form, hard-court efficiency, and physical freshness as primary variables. Parry’s improved results and momentum contrast with Cîrstea’s veteran consistency and higher-level results this season, shaping trader views on the implied probabilities for this best-of-three encounter.
