Both players arrive at this Cincinnati Open round-of-16 clash on outdoor hard courts in strong recent form, with sixth-seeded Linda Noskova fresh off a straight-sets win over Clara Tauson after her Wimbledon title and a 9-1 run in her last 10 matches. Ninth-seeded Amanda Anisimova advanced by defeating Alex Eala for her second top-20 victory of the season, following earlier wins over Zeynep Sonmez. Anisimova holds a 2-1 head-to-head edge, including a 2025 Beijing final victory, though the pair remains even on sets overall. The matchup pits two powerful baseline players against each other in what trader consensus views as a closely contested encounter where serving efficiency and return play on the fast hard courts will likely prove decisive.
