Jessica Pegula holds a commanding 3-0 head-to-head edge over Emma Navarro, including strong results on hard courts, positioning the world No. 3 as the clear favorite in their Cincinnati Open third-round matchup. Pegula arrives in strong form after a productive 2026 start that included multiple titles, though she managed a left knee issue earlier in the year that prompted a brief withdrawal. Navarro, the 25th seed, has shown resilience since returning from health-related absences that sidelined her for parts of the spring, highlighted by a three-set victory in her opener here. Both Americans are experienced on outdoor hard, but Pegula’s superior return game and consistency give her the edge in this all-U.S. encounter.
