Kristina Liutova enters this US Open qualifying first-round hard-court match as the clear favorite against Tatiana Prozorova, driven by her exceptional 2026 hard-court record of 25-3 and overall 33-4 mark that includes a WTA title in Memphis as a 16-year-old. Ranked around No. 125 after surging more than 100 spots this season, Liutova brings recent momentum and strong results against higher-level opposition. Prozorova, ranked near No. 163 with a 17-8 hard-court ledger this year, offers experience at 22 but lacks comparable recent form or ranking trajectory. The pair has no prior head-to-head history, and the match on Court 8 features two players operating well below the WTA top 120.
