Eva Lys holds the edge as the higher-ranked player (No. 98) against No. 184 Gabriela Knutson in this US Open first-round hard-court match, backed by a 1-0 head-to-head record that includes a straight-sets win in 2024 qualifying. Knutson has posted stronger recent results, including US Open qualifying victories and a final at the Warsaw Challenger, while Lys has faced tougher main-tour opposition amid a 6-15 record in 2026. Knutson’s solid hard-court history and second-serve hold percentage could extend rallies, though Lys’s return efficiency and prior Grand Slam experience on the surface shape the competitive dynamics for traders assessing implied probabilities.
