Both players enter this US Open fourth-round clash on hard courts with strong recent momentum and three-match winning streaks, as Kalinskaya (No. 23) ousted ninth-ranked Elina Svitolina while Navarro (No. 27) eliminated seventh-ranked Karolina Muchova. Kalinskaya leads their head-to-head 2-0, including a three-set victory on hard in Doha earlier in 2026, and holds a stronger historical record on the surface. Navarro, a former top-eight player now ranked lower, brings prior US Open semifinal experience and home-crowd support, while Kalinskaya seeks her first deep run at the event. Recent form for both shows solid results against quality opposition, creating a balanced matchup where minor edges in consistency or serving could prove decisive.
