Coco Gauff, the No. 4 seed and 2023 US Open champion, faces fellow American Iva Jovic, the No. 14 seed, in the 2026 US Open fourth round on Arthur Ashe Stadium hard courts. Gauff enters on strong recent form after straight-sets wins over Sonmez, Badosa, and Bucsa, leveraging her superior experience in Grand Slam night sessions and a 1-0 head-to-head edge from their May Rome encounter, where she saved a match point. Jovic arrives after a grueling three-set victory over Eala that extended her season-long momentum, including an Australian Open quarterfinal, but the 18-year-old’s heavier match load and limited prior success against top-10 players create a steeper challenge against the more established American. Trader consensus reflects Gauff’s ranking, surface comfort, and proven big-match resilience as primary drivers.
