Rakhimova enters this Monterrey Open qualifying match as the higher-ranked player at No. 83 compared to Jeanjean's No. 117, with a 1-0 head-to-head edge from their March 2026 Miami hard-court encounter. Both competitors arrive off recent hard-court action at the Cincinnati Open, where Rakhimova advanced to the main draw after defeating Venus Williams before falling to Maria Sakkari, while Jeanjean exited in earlier rounds. The hard surface favors baseline consistency and serves, areas where Rakhimova has shown stronger recent results. No withdrawals or injuries have been reported, and the outcome hinges on which player sustains momentum through the early tournament rounds on the Grandstand court.
