Lucie Havlickova and Nao Hibino meet in the US Open women's qualifying final on outdoor hard courts, with both players ranked within two spots of each other at 225 and 227. The 21-year-old Havlickova arrives with strong recent momentum after rallying from a match point down to defeat second seed Moyuka Uchijima in three sets during qualifying round two, adding to a straight-sets opening win. The 31-year-old Hibino brings greater experience and a 1-0 head-to-head edge after a straight-sets victory over Havlickova on hard courts in July. Both have secured qualification-round wins this week, setting up a tightly contested match where recent form, hard-court consistency, and the high stakes of main-draw entry shape trader assessments of the evenly matched contest.
