Anna Bondar enters the US Open first-round matchup against qualifier Lucie Havlickova with a narrow edge in trader consensus, driven by her higher ranking near No. 75, greater main-tour experience, and 1-0 head-to-head lead from a 2023 clay-court win. Bondar has competed regularly at WTA 1000 and 250 events this season with a 23-22 record, while the 21-year-old Havlickova, ranked around No. 225, arrives after strong qualifying results on hard courts, including her first Grand Slam main-draw victory. Both players show comparable recent win rates near 53-55 percent, but the hard-court surface and Bondar’s deeper career resume on the tour level shape the slight favorite positioning in this closely contested opener.
