Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula, the WTA's No. 4 and No. 3 respectively, meet in the Cincinnati Open final after both advanced through grueling semifinals on hard courts at the Lindner Family Tennis Center. Pegula ended defending champion Iga Swiatek's 10-match win streak with a 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 victory that featured 13 breaks and lasted nearly three hours, while Gauff dispatched surprise semifinalist Sara Bejlek 6-4, 6-1 to reach her second Cincinnati final. Pegula leads their head-to-head 5-4 overall and holds the edge on hard courts, though Gauff claimed their most recent clash at Wimbledon 2026; both Americans enter with strong recent form, multiple three-set wins in the draw, and motivation ahead of the US Open, with Pegula seeking a third title of 2026 and Gauff aiming for her first.
