Coco Gauff enters this Cincinnati Open fourth-round matchup as the clear market favorite, holding the No. 4 WTA ranking and a strong 2026 hard-court record that includes a recent straight-sets win over Ann Li. The American has compiled a roughly 73% win rate this season across majors and 1000-level events, leveraging superior baseline consistency, return game, and athleticism. Marie Bouzkova, ranked No. 27, arrives after back-to-back three-set victories in Cincinnati, including a tiebreak win over Iva Jovic, and carries two 2026 titles on varied surfaces. Their limited recent head-to-head history favors Gauff overall, though Bouzkova has shown the ability to trouble top players in extended rallies. Surface speed and Gauff’s rest advantage from her draw position remain key variables heading into the contest.
