Peyton Stearns enters the US Open first-round matchup against Harriet Dart as the clear favorite, holding the higher WTA ranking near No. 55 compared to Dart’s No. 131, along with a recent straight-sets victory over the Briton on hard courts in Cincinnati. Dart arrives with positive momentum after grinding through three qualifying rounds, including a three-set comeback against Heather Watson to secure her main-draw berth for the first time since 2024. Both players compete on outdoor hard courts, where Stearns has compiled a stronger career record, though Dart’s recent form shows she has won seven of her last ten matches overall. No significant injuries have been reported for either competitor ahead of the Court 12 encounter.
